Desmo Dovi no more
!!! UNKNOWN HEADER TYPE (MULTI-LINE BREAK?) !!!
News just ahead of FP4 today was Andrea Dovizioso’s decision to confirm his decision to leave Ducati at the end of the season after spending 8 years with the manufacturer. Speculations
swirl about team internal politics and or money making up the issues confronting the rider. As of the announcement
Dovi doesn’t seem to have a plan for the future,
but still intends to continue with
MotoGP.
He
believes something will pop-up in the near future. Following the announcement Dovi appears more relaxed and is focusing primarily on racing this weekend
.
This weekends MotoGP is in Austria at the Red
Bull Ring, the first of another
double hea
der
. The racing is taking place under volatile weather with wet, mixed and dry surfaces for Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow’
s
area
forecast is for rain, with a
good
chance rainfall
during the time of
MotoGP Race.
This is a very strong track for Ducati they have been 1st place every year since the return to the circuit in 2016. Last year,
Dovi won after an exciting last lap battle with Marc Marquez.

Seems like when Ducati is about to get it right they lose a rider. Maybe KTM?

Hard to say, they had that quick interview with Aprilia here in the warm up that has a spot. B asically went “No... Well... W e’d love to have him, but we don’t have the money”. :(
I think they’ve been rather tough on him. The Ducati handled by him has been very good these past few years. Marc is just an alien.
Even this year. Ri ght now he’s still top N on-Yamaha and tied for 3rd . And a good chance today to grab some serious points. Same with next weekend!
If it does start raining today I think Fabio will be in serious shit. He was not competitive on the rain tires.
